9. Cotton Ball Ghosts
For a soft, fluffy, and sensory-rich crafting experience, cotton ball ghosts are a wonderful choice for toddlers and preschoolers. This craft helps young children develop their grip and coordination as they pull apart cotton balls and stick them onto paper, creating a wonderfully tactile cloud-like ghost.
Draw a large ghost outline on a sheet of black construction paper or heavy cardstock. Have your child spread school glue all over the inside of the ghost shape. Gently tear and stretch white cotton balls to give them a fluffy texture, then press them down onto the glue until the entire shape is covered. Cut out simple eyes and a mouth from black paper and glue them right on top of the fluffy cotton. The stark contrast between the bright white cotton and the black background makes this a visually striking piece of art to hang on the fridge.
