12. Paper Plate Witches
Witches don’t have to be scary; they can be colorful, friendly, and full of character! This classic paper plate craft allows kids to experiment with different textures, from smooth paper to crinkled yarn hair, creating a delightful hanging decoration that celebrates the whimsical side of Halloween.
Paint the center of a paper plate a vibrant witchy green. While the paint dries, cut a large, pointed witch hat out of black construction paper and decorate it with a purple band and a yellow buckle. Cut strands of orange, black, or purple yarn to serve as the witch’s messy hair, and glue them to the top sides of the green plate. Glue the black hat over the hair. Finally, draw on a crooked nose, a smiling mouth, and add some googly eyes to give your friendly witch her magical expression.
