6. Paper Bag Vampire Puppets
Classic brown paper lunch bags can easily be transformed into dramatic, caped vampire puppets. This craft is highly engaging because it encourages imaginative play long after the crafting is finished. Kids can slip their hands inside the bags to make their vampires talk, laugh, and show off their shiny white fangs.
Keep the paper bag folded flat with the bottom flap facing up, which will serve as the vampire’s face. Paint the face a pale grey, light green, or classic flesh tone. Cut out black construction paper to create slicked-back vampire hair with a prominent widow’s peak, and glue it to the top. Draw on dramatic eyebrows, red eyes, and a smiling mouth with two sharp white paper triangle fangs. For the final touch, cut a large cape out of red or black felt or construction paper and glue it to the back of the bag, allowing your child’s hand to easily slip underneath to control the puppet.
