Glow-in-the-Dark Ghost Bottles
Create a whimsical and slightly spooky atmosphere in your home with glow-in-the-dark ghost bottles. This DIY craft is incredibly family-friendly and utilizes the natural transparency of clear liquor bottles, such as vodka or gin bottles. The secret to achieving a brilliant, long-lasting glow lies in using high-quality phosphorescent paint rather than standard craft paint. Start by pouring a generous amount of glow-in-the-dark paint directly inside the clean, dry bottle. Swirl the paint around until the entire interior surface is evenly coated, then turn the bottle upside down over a paper cup to let the excess drain out.
Painting the inside of the bottle preserves the glossy texture of the exterior glass, giving your ghosts a professional, polished finish. Once the interior paint has dried completely, use a black permanent marker or black glass paint to draw expressive, ghostly faces on the outside of the bottle. You can design classic spooky eyes and open mouths, or give them cute, friendly expressions. For an extra magical touch, insert a strand of battery-operated micro LED fairy lights inside. When the lights go out, these bottles will emit an ethereal, otherworldly glow that will delight guests of all ages.
