Wrap this core in aluminum foil to build bulk without adding excessive weight. Roll out a thick, smooth sheet of polymer clay in a sophisticated hue like mustard yellow, terracotta, or deep navy. Wrap the clay sheet seamlessly over the foil-covered arch, smoothing out any air bubbles or seams. To ensure the bookends are heavy enough to support books, fill the hollow base of the arch with decorative sand or metal weights before sealing the bottom with a final piece of clay and baking.
