Create a stunning centerpiece for your dining table with modernist taper candle holders featuring bold, sculptural shapes. Roll thick ropes of polymer clay and bend them into interlocking loops, continuous waves, or tight coils. Ensure the base of your design is perfectly flat so it sits securely on tabletop surfaces. Press a metal candle cup or a taper candle itself into the top of the clay shape to create a perfectly sized, snug recess for the candle. Remove the candle before baking, leaving the metal cup in place if using one. Bake the sculptural holder thoroughly, and finish with a matte sealer to preserve the raw, chalky texture of the clay.
