8. Scalloped Edge Picture Frames

8

Give plain wooden or plastic picture frames an instant, whimsical upgrade with a scalloped polymer clay border. Scallops add a playful, soft, and trendy touch to home decor. Roll out a long strip of clay in a pastel hue like butter yellow, lavender, or mint green. Use a round cutter or a specialized wavy blade to cut a continuous scalloped edge along one side of the strip. Carefully press this clay border onto the flat front of an existing frame, smoothing the corners where the clay strips meet. Bake the frame with the clay attached if the frame material is oven-safe, or bake the clay border separately and adhere it later with strong craft glue for a charming, boutique-worthy frame.
