11. Minimalist Full-Length Leaner Mirror

A full-length mirror framed in warm, thick natural timber adds depth, light, and architectural interest to a bedroom or entryway.

  • How to Make It: Build a sturdy wooden frame with mitered corners slightly larger than your mirror glass. Cut a rabbet into the inner back edge of the frame to hold the mirror securely. Insert the mirror glass, back it with protective hardboard, and secure with mirror clips. Lean it safely against the wall.
  • Tips: Attach a heavy-duty anti-tip furniture strap to the top back of the frame and anchor it to the wall for safety, even when leaning.
  • Variations: Leave the top corners of the frame softly arched or pill-shaped for a softer, contemporary organic silhouette.
