Whimsical “Wicked Witch” Directional Signpost
Transform your front yard into a magical crossroads with a whimsical directional signpost that points the way to all the best mythical Halloween destinations. For this project, you will need a sturdy central wooden stake and four to five smaller, pointed wooden planks to serve as the directional arrows. Paint each arrow a different, vibrant Halloween shade—think lime green, deep purple, vibrant orange, and pitch black.
Using a playful, whimsical font, stencil different spooky locations onto each arrow, such as “Sleepy Hollow,” “Salem,” “Dracula’s Castle,” or “Pumpkin Patch.” Attach the arrows to the central stake at various jaunty angles using wood screws. To elevate the look, hot-glue a miniature decorative broomstick to the top of the post or wrap faux ivy and purple tinsel around the base. Plant this signpost in a large planter filled with hay and colorful mums right next to your front steps.
