14. Little Monster Ribbon Taggie Blanket

14

Babies are naturally drawn to the silky, smooth texture of ribbons, making taggie blankets an absolute favorite in the nursery. By creating a custom, monster-themed ribbon taggie blanket, you can provide your baby with a comforting sensory toy that is perfect for car rides, stroller walks, and quiet playtime during the autumn season. The bright colors and varied textures of the ribbons provide wonderful tactile stimulation for curious little fingers.

Cut two matching squares of ultra-soft fabric, such as green minky fabric for the front and a fun Halloween-patterned flannel for the back. On the front minky side, applique a friendly, one-eyed monster face using colorful felt scraps. Cut various lengths of satin, grosgrain, and textured ribbons in bright shades of purple, orange, and lime green. Fold the ribbons in half to create loops, and pin them pointing inward along the edges of the fabric square. Sew the two fabric squares together with the right sides facing, leaving a small gap to turn it right-side out, then topstitch around the entire edge to secure the ribbon loops firmly in place.
