13. Museum Curators and an Awakened Exhibit
Create a captivating narrative where historical artifacts come to life after closing time.
How to Make It
- The Curator: Dress in a sharp tweed blazer, tortoiseshell glasses, pressed trousers, and sensible loafers. Carry a clipboard, a museum lanyard badge, and a small penlight.
- The Ancient Exhibit: Dress as an Egyptian Pharaoh, a Greek Goddess, or a medieval knight, but coat exposed skin and clothing in a matte grey spray-paint texture to mimic stone or bronze. Add cracks using black eyeliner or face paint.
- The Pose: The exhibit partner should remain completely rigid and statue-like whenever the curator isn’t looking.
Tips and Variations
- Use lightweight papier-mâché to build a broken stone pedestal base that the statue partner can step out of.
- Apply gold leaf highlights to the “stone” to mimic weathered ancient statues found in European museums.
